These little beads make cleaning my decanter a breeze. They remove wine sediment easily. I have used them in other vessels where scrubbing is difficult.

If you own a decanter, specially a nicer one, you will appreciate the need for something (anything!) that will help you restore its original look. Decanting red wine will invariably leave behind some traces or residues that are nearly impossible to remove depending on the shape and style of your decanter. These beads will get the job done!! They are TINY, so keep in mind that using them is a bit tricky. Still, they get 5 stars for their ease of use, and their effectiveness. I am happy and pleased with the results.

After much brushing, soaking, and gnashing of teeth I was able to remove a hard water deposit from the bottom of a decanter with these little beads. I found a gentle up and down shaking motion as you swirl the beads around in water to be the most conducive to getting into a satisfying groove as you clean. Shwirling, if you will. OK, sorry. Anyway, very pleasantly surprised at their cleaning abilities. Take care with managing these little guys. As others have stated in previous reviews, the beads want to get away from you as you are dumping, rinsing, funneling, etc. After losing three down the sink and into my garbage disposer, trying (and failing) with forceps and a magnet to remove them from my garbage disposer, and then thanking God they just slipped through the little holes in my disposer and right down the drain, I advise more caution than I exercised on my first go with these. I do plan to try rice as another reviewer suggested, by the way, and these may find their way into the re-gift pile as tiny stainless beads may just be prone to mischief with a couple of clumsy-ish adults, a toddler, carpet, occasional cleaning while under the influence of mild hangover, etc. No regrets, though. Overall, great product!

Great for tough-to-clean corners

Had tried everything to clean out some decorative oil and vinegar bottles - a decanter brush got most of it, but these beads were the key to getting the last of the oily gunk out of the bottom corners. It took a while, but with patience and a lot of "swishing" them around, the bottles finally came clean.

Solution to a household problem

What a wonderful solution to a household cleaning problem. I own a number of vintage decanters that I could not get clean. The beads did the trick. I plan on giving them as Christams gifts next year.

Creative Ware 24 Ounce Tumblers

My family is very happy with these tumblers. As others have said a couple of them were a little sharp on the lip of the glass. My son just took them and rubbed them on the stove grate and it smoothed them right out. They are a nice size for ice and a cold drink. I really like the design of them because it makes them easy to hold. Pretty pastel colors.

My family loves to use giant tumblers, the acrylic ones I've bought in the past crack and etch in the dishwasher. These beauties are carbonate so they go through the dishwasher (top shelf) beautifully.

raised sharp lip on rim..

I bought these glasses because we were looking for a BIGGER glass than the normal set you get with dishes. Got tired of only getting one or maybe two drinks and having to get up and fill my glass again. They are pretty and surprisingly there were only two of each color and the extra blue and purple they show in the picture turned out to be 2 red/pink colored ones, which didn't bother me any. BUT I am unhappy about the quality of the glass. There is a raised edge on the rim of the glass that is sharp enough to irritate your lip and forget about licking the rim if you spill a little. I had already washed them before I drunk out of them so its to late for me to return them, we just have to drink out of them carefully until i can find some better 24 oz. glasses to replace them. If it did not have that rim problem they would be PERFECT but since the rim problem i have to say i hate the product since I do not fill safe to give them to my kid to drink out of them without worrying about her cutting her lip or tongue. Also i would never give them to guest.

Nice enough for guests

Over the years I have discovered that drinking glasses are actually disposable items. I like a thin drinking glass and have learned to live with the fact that there will be breakage! In fact, one glass arrived in pieces. But that left 11 pretty good looking glasses so I decided not to return them. These glassed will work just fine. They are thin and tall and have a heavy bottom which seems to help stability. If anything, they might be just a bit narrow for my taste but all in all they are more than adequate for my needs. I feel they will serve me well and in a few years and most of them have broken, I will just buy another set.

a waste of money

this is the worst purchase experience i've ever had with amazon. the glasses were misshapen, lumpy and un-cylindrical. i have never seen such poor quality in a product. i cannot imagine how a drinking glass could have been produced in such a shoddy manner and then been allowed to be sold. two glasses have already broken by fairly routine household usage. an inferior product and clearly no quality control.

Big Lots

I got these, pulled them out of the box, and put them in the dishwasher. I figured they looked fine at first glance, so why beak out the inspection mirror. As I removed the first one from the dishwasher, I noticed on the lip was an area much thicker than the rest of the rim, as I pulled out the rest 9 out of 12 had this same flaw. Now I realize they were not expensive, but this was not some flaw missed by an inspector, these were rejects and I don't remember seeing that in the description. By the way, I also bought some smaller ones in the same order from Amazon and they had the same flaw. Very disappointed my Amazon friends, it makes me wonder about ordering more expensive items.

This is the perfect tool for repairing minor chips to the rims of good crystal. While it won't replace a chip, it will make those tiny nicks smooth and the item usable.

Had four fine crystal wine goblets to correct chips on the rim. Crystal saver did not completely erase the chip but I was able to smooth the chip out to make the wine glass usable again.

another green tool for savings

I have owned this file for 15 years now and have used it many times. I was washing the dinner dishes now, and found a chip on a greenware plate. I pulled out the file and filed out the chip and the area is now nice and smooth and the plate is still beautiful and usable. I love it. I think of all of the glasses and dishes I had to discard throughout the years prior to purchasing this file and then I think of all of the dishes and glassware I was able to rescue from the discard pile since. When you think about it, it's saving money, the item, energy and time to go out and buy new items, energy and resources for the manufacture of new items. If we all had and used this item, as a collective, this would save a lot of all the aforementioned. It sounds like a small thing to some, but it isn't. And, if you don't believe in the Green Movement, and even if there weren't or isn't Global Warming, we are running out of resources and can look at it all another way...like face up to our possible extinction. And, it's a good idea not to violate your own hard earned cash efforts by saving what you can.
