Really works!

I've never been comfortable spraying harsh chemicals on a daily basis on sensitive skin. I searched for years looking for a replacement for traditional under arm deodorant. I tried powders, and talcs but nothing seemed to work. One day I saw this product at Target and figured I'd give it a try. This product is amazing. I protects from oder for 24 hours, has no scent and a little 4-ounce bottle lasts for months. My wife and I both use it and would never go back to traditional sprays. This is one of those "finds" you just have to share with others. Unfortunately Target stopped stocking it and I've had a hard time finding it ever since. I can't imagine being without so found on Amazon and decided to pay the extra shipping... worth every penny!

Useless!

Tried it right on top of the kitty litter box and by the dog bed -- no 'freshening' whatsoever. The weather has been warm and cold, and I've wet the crystal to encourage it, nothing makes it useful. The packaging indicates the manufacturer is trying any idea to sell this. Under the label was another label indicating this was a refrigerator odor reducer (and there was something else under that!). Tried it in fridge for the heck of it -- and guess what, nothing doing there either. Save your money.

This has amonium alum which is an aluminum salt. This is aluminum and has been linked to alzheimers disorder. I use the product but I really need to get a product with no aluminum in any form.

Great for travel, even if you don't need it

I use this deodorant because I'm allergic to metal. It also happens to be the most practical deodorant you can buy considering a stick will easily last you a year (I'd say 2 and a half is about average). I'm going to Korea soon for a 1 year teaching gig and buying one of these for the trip is a no brainer. Deodorant is hard to find in Korea and very expensive. A friend of mine doing the same program spent 25 dollars on 6 sticks of regular higher end deodorant assuming each stick would last'em 2 months. I find the crystal deodorant works very well. The key is to realize that the salt rock will Not mask odor, just prevent it. So after taking a good shower you apply it (wetting the rock a little and liberally spreading it across your under arms) and that's it. The disadvantage is you have to clean up well before using it, unlike your common deodorants that you can literally keep in your car and just apply whenever you feel a little stinky. But if you shower every day anyway, or you're planning on leaving the country for an extended period of time, really consider this product.

This deodorant works well. I use it when at home or when I'm going out around my neighborhood. But for going to work, I use a conventional deodorant/anti-perspirant. I commute into Manhattan, and the commute can get you very hot and sweaty (some of the subway platforms are 100+ degrees in the summer with almost no circulating air), so I feel fresher using my Mitchum. But short of a using this on a commute from hell, this works just fine for me.

No Odor for days

Love this product. No more deodorant marks on black shirts. Traveled 4 days on long haul flights. Stuck in hot humid airports. No odor at the end of 4 days when I finally got to a shower. No more under arm stains on white shirts. T-shirts I wear daily after 3 months no stains. Previous deodorants with in 3 weeks would start to show yellow stains. No clumpy deodorant in your arm pits when laying out for some sun. It's like nothing is there at all. It just works perfectly.

Actually works well

This deodorant is phenomenal. So far I have been using it for a month in daily 80+ degree weather without any issue. Remember that the product is in fact a deodorant and not an antiperspirant, but isn't that one of the main reasons you may be reviewing the item? (To try a more natural product with less chemicals that clog pores). One of the best things about the deodorant is that you do not have to apply it every day. It leaves no scent and no residue. The only complaint one could have is the necessity of water or liquid to moist the top of the crystal before application. All in all no complaints and so 5/5 rating!

This is no New Age magic crystal. It actually works. And not in the "Well, I can't see any difference, so maybe it works" way. It definitely does. I've had it for two days, and after my daily exercise routine there is no odor. With regular deodorant and anti-persperant, there was always some odor - sometimes a lot! No white gunk, no fake fragrance smell, it's affordable and it supposedly lasts forever (and I believe it, because you're basically rubbing yourself with a wet rock.) The only thing is that you really do have to be clean before applying for it to work. This must be the dirty little secret of the deodorant industry!

excellent odor control

I've been using the product now for over a month and I have used it for working out and playing percussion drums. that's active. No odor. It doesn't stop the sweat and I wasn't expecting it to. If you're a naturally heavy sweater, this won't work for sweat control, but for odor, give it a try.

It Really Works

I have to say I was somewhat skeptical when I placed my order. I have rotated several antiperspirant/deorderants for years & that had even gotten questionable. I had used both mens and womens brands but kept getting the same result after a period of time. This product really works & it's lacking the harmful chemicals of the many brands I have bought over the years. I no longer have to wash and reapply midway through the day :)

Effective, completely unscented, amazingly economical

I've been using this product for years. Each time I buy it, the product lasts for 2 years or so... so long that the place that I bought it last time often does not carry it anymore. I'm thrilled to find it on Amazon. I tried a more traditional deodorant or two in the interim, and it just made me want this back. Why do I like it? First of all, it works. On occasional days when I forget to use it, I find out. My wife really doesn't like body odor, and this passes her test. Some reviewers have said it doesn't work for them, I don't know how that could be, but maybe it varies from person to person. It definitely works for me. Second, it has NO scent. I personally really dislike anything scented on my person, I don't care if it smells feminine, masculine, or anything else. Even if it's a pleasant scent, I still don't want it on me all day. This product really has no scent. My nose can always tell if I've used a traditional unscented deodorant instead of this one. Finally, although it'll be the most expensive product on the deodorant shelf if you see it, it lasts SO long that it's got to be the cheapest one if you consider cost-per-use or whatever. It definitely does wear down. it gets smaller and smaller. It eventually falls out of its dispenser, but is still usable. Be careful not to drop it, it will shatter on your bathroom floor. But, without that, it will last years.

Doesn't work

I don't know why this product gets such great reviews. I bought it because everyone raved about it, and I found it to be a waste of money. I followed the directions, and I even rubbed it on until it was dry, then went back for round 2. In an hour I'd already smell like armpits, and I'm not an overly smelly person. This stick feels like nothing is going on, because nothing is going on. It doesn't work at all.
