Very Nice Set

Received this decanter set today. Great packaging and quick delivery. The decanter is really beautiful, as are the glasses, and the tray is nice but average to poor quality. Keeping in mind that this is not high-end, fine crystal, it does however make a lovely showing. Great set for the money. Recommend set and seller. Gave it 4 stars due to tray quality.

I love it! Heavy pieces, great look, just the right size. I totally disregarded the silver plate, but I already had one. If you are looking for a decent decanter for decent price - this is the right product.

Drink in Style!

I hardly drink, but I do want something nice to have at the house for in case friends who do drink visit, so I got this whiskey set. All the glass elements are very sturdy and heavy. However, as I set the glasses down on the tray (bottoms up), I accidentally clipped the lip on one of the glasses on the butt of another, and it chipped a small bit. I didn't hit it hard, so as heady as they are, the glasses aren't very sturdy. The designs are very nice, and I love the stopper - extra thick and heavy, like a cue ball (and so would make a fine improvisational weapon if you were caught in a "James Bond" moment ;]). The silver tray is also thick and heavy, but doesn't have the same look and quality with the glassware, (mine came with a few small permanently splotches) so it doesn't seem to go well together. But it's included, and I'll take it. Overall, a fine set for those who don't want to break the bank yet still have something nice to store and drink their liquid in.

Great product but bad packaging

This decanter set is very nice. It has good weight and has a nice design, exactly what I needed and a great value. HOWEVER, it took me three attempts to get one that didn't have dents in the tray. The six piece set includes the decanter, 4 glasses, the stopper and the a silver tray. The way the manufacturer packaged the box, they put the tray on the outside of the box. Even though Amazon overboxes the product, it still gets bumped around during shipping and the tray will have multiple dents when you take it out. The manufacturer really needs to package this better (although which would you rather have break, crystal or a tin tray?). On the third replacement, Amazon packaged it with air pillows around all sides and it was fine. Great product, bad packaging. 3 stars, would be 5 if I didn't have to order it 3 times.

Lots of Bling for the Buck

All of these Godinger decanters are good quality and attractive. This is an especially good buy because of the glasses, which are nice, heavy-weight, double old-fashioneds. The round, all glass, well-fitted stopper gives some oomph to the design. Very nice and worth the money. This even came with a silver tray. I'm about to buy a second set so that I'll have 12 glasses and four (all Godinger from Amazon) decanters.

I LOVE this Reidel glass. It brings be back to my honeymoon in Australia. My hubby and I stayed at an exclusive resort on the Whitsunday Islands called Qualia, and they used these glasses for their special tropical juice every morning. A beautiful and simple design!

A real treat

I first found these at the Park Hyatt Washington D.C. They still make me smile and feel like I am drinking in luxury with this think wonderful glasses. They are very clear and the right size. They have a flat bottom so if they sweat they stick to a glass table a little, but I just love them. I thought of getting the wine glasses for water/juice but these work better without hitting your nose and are easier to wash.

5 piece glass pitcher and glasses eclipse

I think this is listed wrong under electronics it should be housewares. I got this at Marshalls for under $10 worth that and more. It is very nice and sturdy. The glass is thick. It's a 2-quart pitcher it doesn't mention it in add or box but I measured it. The item is made in Turkey. Very nice set really like it. It didn't state if it was dishwasher safe but I have ran everything through a few times and no problems. I have not added boiling water to pitcher I don't know if it can take it and I prefer to steep tea in pyrex measureing cup allow to cool a bit then add to pitcher. It's better than any pitcher at walmart they are all thin and you pay $10 just for pitcher the glasses are nice.

chatteau orleans cordials

The cordials are hand blown; when shipped one of the cordials were broken. I contacted Chatteau Orleans for a replacement. First it took over four weeks to get the replacement and when the replacement arrived, it has a definite SAND piece, very noticeable in it. I wanted to get another replacement and they told me that I could only have one replacement per order but that I could send all of them back with a charge of 15% re-stocking fee, plus shipping. This was a birthday gift for May--it is June, more than a month overdue. I am very displeased with them. I will not purchase from that company ever again.
